Mehndi MadnessTM Blog
We have so many great informational videos for free on our website. “How to Mix Henna” is one of the most popular. Although mixing henna is not difficult, it is specific. Enjoy the video, is only a few min. long. Here are some additional tips.
*Lemon is the most common liquid to use mixing henna but Lime also works well and many like to use a black tea. There are others who use only hot water. You’ll have do a little research to see which one you think is best. Personally, I’ve seen them all work well, depending on your mixture and activation time.
*Eucalyptus oil is traditionally used for hundreds of years but there are other oils commonly use today that are very popular, such as, Lavender, Cajuput and Tea Tree. Artists can be sticklers about the oil they use, adamantly defending one over the other. The only real important issues are to follow safety standards for the industry.
*We use a mixture that is not a measured recipe, meaning it doesn’t use measuring spoons or cups. This is so an artist can mix it to the consistency they desire rather than someone else’s. But you can easily find a guided recipe if you prefer.
If you want to try mixing henna your own, I suggest our Bulk Henna Kit, $40. It comes with instructions, video links, 100 gm of finely sifted henna, a bottle of Mehndi Madness blend oil, transfers for easy design starters, a design book, 2 heat sealed cone applicators and all the fun you can handle!
