I use to have a henna booth for many years at the Northwest Washington Fair, a wholesome little fair in Lynden Washington. The booth was in a clover patch and I found so many 4-leaf clovers there, I began to wonder if it was a species of clover instead of luck. And it is, Trifolium Repens!
You can grow your own lucky clovers, called St. Patrick’s Day Clovers. What could you do with your own crop of 4-leaf clovers? Press them in books or the soft wax of candles, put them in resin and make jewelry. They make excellent ground cover and the leaves are edible. Mix into salads or cook like spinach. The dried flowers can be used for tea which is good for coughs, colds and fever. You can purchase the seeds at GoodSeeds Esty store.
