Your Questions... I've tried a couple of home kits where you mix the henna yourself and just can't get the consistency right. What consistency should henna be?

The perfect consistency for henna depends on a couple of things, your applicator for one and your preference for another. If your using a squeeze bottle you might want your henna slightly loose, more like ketchup. This makes it easier on your hand. If your using a cone you might want it more like toothpaste. Toothpaste being stiffer, you'll have more control over it. These are the most common consistencies. You may like something different and how you like it is all that matters. Getting the correct consistency takes practice and becomes easier over time. So just keep at it.
