Typically, henna on the torso stains lighter then the hands, feet, ankles and wrists. It has to do with the dead skin layers. Henna will stain darker and last longer where the skin is thicker and lighter where it is thinner. On the torso it is much thinner and so is lighter. On the face and neck it is even lighter because the tissue just doesn't have a build up of dead skin to support the dye of the henna.
If you want to stain the torso area, like the lower back, belly, shoulder blade, be sure to leave the henna on as long as you can, 4-6 hours or longer and use a high quality professional henna such as the one we sell. Go to the products page for more info.
