I get henna all the time but mine typically is lighter and doesn't last as long as my friends. It there something I can do about that?
Well, some people just stain lighter and their skin exfoliates faster than others. You can scrub the skin to exfoliate all the dead skin off before you get your henna done. That way your staining the fresh dead layer of skin and it might last a bit longer. Stick with the areas that usually stain darker like, hands, feet, ankles and wrists. I find ankles tend to last longer then any other body part. If your doing the henna yourself, use the freshest henna you can and add some turps like eucalyptus, clove, tea tree or cajiput oils. These might help open the henna molecule and activate the staining power.
