This is the class where you get to try your hand at some henna tattoos. It's perfect for using home kits. We go over the aftercare, how to use an applicator and make transfers. The aftercare insures your design will come out well and last as long as possible. Becoming proficient with the applicator allows you to concentrate more on creativity then struggling to get henna out of the cone. Making transfers gives you the ability to do designs that are beyond your artistic level. I designed this class because so many people tell me they bought a henna kit but never used it. Well, fear no more! It's easier then you think.
Below are some pictures of the last Hands on Henna class I taught at the Edmonds Parks and Recreation. Students enjoyed looking at the reference materials and design books. After a short practice with the applicator they were all able to do deigns on themselves. There is both Henna and Jagua to practice with.
Choosing designs and making transfers was one of their favorite parts. With transfers, designs look really great without having to be a professional henna artist, putting the fun back in the henna kit. At the end of class you can buy Henna and Jagua kits, design books and transfer materials. We finish up with a question and answer time.
