KrysteenIt was started by the Grad Night Foundation in Orange County, CA in 1986 and was basically a group of mothers looking for safe alternative ways for their children to spend the night of graduation, instead of drinking at parties and creating a dangerous environment for themselves and others.
Grad night parties have become more and more creative and innovative throughout the years. They usually have a theme such as Hogwarts, Pirates of the Caribbean cruise, casino night and many others. Grad night can take place at one or more venues throughout the night and offer many activities, games and dancing. Henna is absolutely a top notch addition to the festivities. Students get designs such as the year of graduation, the collage they're headed off to or their high school mascot.
Apart from creating a fun and safe environment for these teens, grad night is all about creating lasting memories. The Grad party is an encouragement to live in the moment, quite possibly the last moments they'll get to spend with friends, just having a good time, before the next, very important stage of their lives begins.
Over the past 17 years, Mehndi Madness has been to our fair share of grad nights and we love them! It's a pleasure being a part of a special night that is safe and fun but also chronicles an important time in one's life.
