Mehndi MadnessTM Blog
Summer is right around the corner and Mehndi Madness, Henna for the Masses, wants to be a big part of it! It's our busiest time of the year. We're closing our Fremont Studio for the summer and setting up shop in two Seattle locations. All summer long you can get your jauga and henna tattoos without an appointment. The first one is the Seattle Center umbrella stand which is located in front of the Starbucks just outside the Armory (formerly called the Center House). This location will be open 7 days a week starting on June 1st. Hours are approximately, 10:30am – 6pm.
The Armory
The Armory is the newly designed former Center House, the new food court offers a variety of local flavors, gourmet meal options, and the best happy hour in Seattle. The building was founded in 1939 and served as artillery as well as stored half-ton tanks. You can still find markings around the basement from the old firing range and an unfinished swimming pool that was intended for soldier training. In 1962 the building was converted in the first vertical shopping mall and the Food Circus for the World's Fair. Sometime in the 1970's it was renovated and renamed the Center House. Since then the building has changed and grown into what is now the Armory. We are so lucky and proud to be a part of it!
